stamp ring.

ghostpatol at backwoods.

i meant to go to the opening of ghostpatrol's new backwoods show (cosmic scale and the super future) but it didn't happen.
the exhibition is up 'til the 3rd of june and i am determined to make my way over before then.
looks amazing!

scarf love.

so it's pretty cold here in melbourne and i have started to scarf watch a fair bit.
i have a plain black knitted one but i think it's time for a pretty one to join the wardrobe.
i'm deeply in love with the PAM drunk panda scarf but i can't see the day when i have a spare $300 coming any time soon.

i saw a new emily green/lucy hall sample scarf (neon green stripes!) at markit yesterday and can't stop thinking about how much i need it in my life.
the scarf launch party is later this month and i am SO there.

i went to markit yesterday and it was awesome.
the quality of stalls/products was so good, it's just that i physically couldn't see it all.
there were sooooooo many people that it was hard to breathe.
the stalls that i did see were great, especially third drawer down, emily green, heather lighton, victoria mason, a skulk of foxes and able and game.
i really wanted this skulk of foxes timber phone case but it will stay on my 'to-buy-when-you-get-a-job' list for now.

bought these pretties; emily green neon dot earrings and a heather lighton necklace.
fairly in love with them.

i live.

it's been a long time, but i have a good excuse.
i've moved to melbourne and have spent the last three weeks very busy LIVING.
although i feel guilty for neglecting the blog, it feels great to be offline for a while.
i've been having an amazing time and am livin' the dream.
great new flat, great new friends and beautiful new city.
had the pleasure of working with beci orpin and assisting with her new book.
so unlike the job hunting and scary times i was expecting, i've spent my days crafting, plant shopping, visiting amazing stores, eating amazing food and hanging out in a super cool studio with many inspiring creative people.
am i dreaming?
sometimes i think i am.
here's a snapshot of my last few weeks (via my instagram greygridpaper).

Tuesday, May 1

i will just start with aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrggghhhhhhhhh!@#$%^&*().
i am kind of freaking out, in a good way (but also a scared way).
you know how i was all "oh i love melbourne" then i was all "oh i'd love to live in melbourne" then i was all "oh my god i'm going to live in melbourne" and now i've moved into phase "oh my god i'm moving to melbourne in three days, what am i doing, why am i doing this, is this the right thing, oh my god oh my god oh my god".
so yes, the blog has been slightly neglected lately (much to my unease) as i've been busy sorting my life into piles, selling things, giving away things, packing things and now saying goodbye to things.
my house is empty, my 'to do' list is finally shrinking and this week i have three farewell lunches and two farewell dinners.
i'm still a little too busy to be sad but by the end of this week i am going to be a mess!
leaving my entire family and 98% of my friends for this little adventure so yes - i'm terrified.
aaaaaaaanyway just thought i'd say hi and that i'm sorry to neglect you grey grid paper and that i hope to be back soon.
by that time i'll be 2000km south of here and probably freezing my butt off.

now please excuse me now while i continue to freak out some more and constantly question my decisions, changing every few minutes from oh my god yay to oh my god eeeek.

p.s that pic is of my cute new quilt cover that waits patiently in it's packet 'til i make my new southern bed :)
