so i bought this amazing cross stitch kit from epic epoch on etsy yesterday and am ridiculously excited about making it!
it's the best thing i've ever seen.

finally, while searching for the amazing cross stitch above, i came across a store called shakespeare's peddler that sells really really cool patterns (if you're totally skilled and have a spare three years on your hands...)
one day, they will be mine.
