tony bevilacqua.

i love him.

laneway.

laneway was just as douchey as i thought it would be (serious scenesters, maximum hair and make-up, minimum clothes etc.) however the brilliance of the music fixed everything.
daniel johnston was intense, and amazing.
i stood in the front row the whole time thinking "i can't believe he is standing in front of me".
it was totally surreal.

miss blasko was lovely, as could be expected.
she wore a pretty dress and did a pretty dance.
i let my inner girl rejoice.

florence was another story.
it. was. amazing. brilliant. stupendous!
she had wings, and firey hair and glitter to the max.
there was a harp, there was dancing, there was screaming, there was thousands of people basking in her glory!
sadly none of my pics turned out as my phone could not handle the light show, but the memory in my mind lives on :)
here's a borrowed live pic, to feast your eyes on.

p.s check out my sweet new shirt.

Friday, January 29

hannah smith.

i discovered the goodness of hannah smith at the cloudy messy muddy mucky crystal clear exhibition last year.
her pieces were amazing.
sadly she does not have a website, but she is featured on the karen 19 gallery site along with some pics of her work.
i am deeply in love with her.
my goal in life is to own some of her work.
these pictures don't do it justice but imagine them on a massive scale with itnense detail and lovliness.

happy new year.

i'm back.
it's taken me a long time to return to blogland, there was too much fun to be had.
a month of holidays, family, friends, sunshine, swimming, parties, bbq's and so very many amazing gigs.
patrick wolf, lamb (which totally blew my mind), mastodon and them crooked vultures to name a few.
today i'm going to laneway to see florence and the machine and daniel johnston, excitement!
so yes, weeks away from the computer has left me happy and slightly tanned (ew) and my blog slightly empty.

so, to put an end to that, here is something beautiful i have found.
stone & honey jewellery makes me tingle with happiness.
i've decided i need everything in the store and have spent days staring at the images saved to my desktop... dreaming...

Friday, December 18

i can taste the sunshine.

hello.
christmas times, hectic times.
but somehow i've made it, my last day of work!
i am so very excited to be on holidays and plan on spending the whole two weeks swimming, rumballs in one hand, vodka in the other.
chances of me posting on here in the next two or so weeks are incredibly slim so for now i wish you the merriest of christmas' and a lovely new year :)
goodbye.

Thursday, December 10

tonight, oh yes.

my blood beats black tonight.

tonight i am going to see mr. wolf, it has been too long since we last danced.
