i should probably just start a new blog called 'i love no anchor, here are all their show posters' but that's a lot of effort.
so instead, i am posting it here and saying omg omg omg no anchor are playing new songs at this show, it's going to be epic!

so i'm slightly addicted to pinterest.
i basically sit here for hours devouring page after page of delicious images and surf my way to their original locations.
i clicked some tasty looking pics this morning and found their recipes which are now on my 'to cook immediately' list.
feast your eyes on chickpea "meat"balls, sesame noodles and a giant one pan cookie.

most designers get very, very excited by pantone swatches.
i am one of those.
did my daily read of design*sponge this morning to find something truly amazing.

how have i not thought of this before?!
maybe because i do not bake...

i love loving hut.

i just got home from the most amazing lunch ever.
i am so excited that i've found my new favourite place to eat in brisbane!
we've passed loving hut a million times on logan road mount gravatt but never get around to going but today we made it happen.
i was so impressed with the space, the staff, the menu, the prices and the reading material available it's ridiculous.
loving hut is the second vegan restaurant i've visited in brisbane and it got 4.8 out of 5 stars on the vegetarian/vegan society of queensland website!

i took some pictures on my phone of our meals but they're terrible lighting and quality so i borrowed some tiny thumbnails off loving hut's website.
we got the crescent dumplings (made with bok choy, tofu and mushroom), salt and pepper mushroom (possibly the most amazing thing i've ever eaten... so crispy, so delicious!), black bean stir-fry and tom yum fried rice (um, genius? rice cooked in tom yum soup = double the perfection!)

i am going to take every person i know there, the tastiness must be shared!
so yes, if you live in brisbane i highly recommend a visit.
it's not all asian either, with lasagne, carbonara, cheesecake, nuggets and chips and pumpkin soup on the menu too :)
they do take-away also and have very cool biodegradable cardboard take-away containers.
vegan, vego, meat eater's alike - this place is gold.

'74 flood.

the mood is pretty insane here in brisbane at the moment.
i live two suburbs back from the river so i'm pretty close.
saw the street flooding from my bedroom window!
my house is high and dry, i am one of the lucky ones.
most of my friends are without power and some were evacuated from their flooded suburbs.
we walked down to the river yesterday afternoon and i was speechless.
not only were there massive trees/un-manned boats and debris everywhere but the sheer speed they were travelling at was insane!
the river was dark, swollen and so so fast, sucking everything along with it.

unable to peel myself off news websites and blogs, i found these awesome pictures of the 1974 brisbane floods, can't you just feel the australiana seeping through the pics?
the men saving a raft of beer is my favourite.

ei ka.

i am finding it really hard to contain myself right now as i've just falling in love, hard.
ei ka is probably coolest person on earth.
there's a good chance i will spend the rest of the day building a ei ka fanclub...
