“You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you’ll escape it one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present."
 Looking For Alaska, John Green

this quote reminded me of another of my favourites - "the future is just a concept we use to avoid living for today." (quoted from rachel griffiths character brenda in six feet under).

sadly i can relate to both of these, that's why they sting, and why i need to remember them

ashes and milk.

check out these amazing stones from ashes and milk.
although a.) i could never afford one (at $100-$400ea.) and b.) they're all sold out, i can still dream.

so inspired to draw on rocks right now.

tiny happy.

so yesterday i was prowling etsy, as per usual, when i came across a particularly lovely little charm necklace.

i straight away thought of rebecca's beautiful embroidery for edward and lily (soft colours, simple clean designs, perfection)

i followed this necklace into it's
tiny happy store.
there were only three things in the store which was saddening but they were all lovely!
needing more, i followed the link to
tiny happy's blog.
i was not prepared for what i got.
every single image was perfect.
lovely new zealand mum, tiny happy, posts not only pictures of her creations but also pictures of everyday life - all of which are beautiful (this is the part where two hours of my life goes missing).

i feel a new blog crush coming on.

i'm still drooling over last night's dinner.
the gang and i went to sings asian kitchen in coorparoo.
it was amazing!
great seating (cool little booth seats), great ambience, good fast service, amazingly tasty and well priced - needless to say, we were all very impressed.
the byo part was particularly enjoyable :)
there really is nothing better then mid week dinner's with friends, it brings the weekend so much faster!

i quite enjoyed the gold bamboo cutlery.

i've been meaning to photograph this for so long, and today i finally remembered my camera.
every day the sun rises behind this big tree near my house, i think it looks beautiful.

is it lunch time yet? - i want my leftovers :)
